Rashid K. Mchatta is a software engineer with extensive experience with database systems, including systems analysis and design, dynamic web-database applications, management and information systems. He also has analytical and computing skills in modelling and optimisation especially on transport and communications systems.

Mr. Mchatta received his Bachelor of Science degree in Information and Management Systems(1998) and Master of Science in Information and Management Systems Engineering(2000) from the Faculty of Management Science and Informatics of the University of Zilina in the Slovak Republic.

After receiving his two degrees abroad, he joined the Institute of Finance Management of Tanzania as an Assistant Lecturer in Computing and Information Technology(2000-2001).

He lectured studies of Database Developments, Managing Informatics, and Data Processing and Information Systems.

In the mid of June, 2001 he joined the Bank of Tanzania at the post of Computer Analyst/Programmer of the Directorate of Management Information Systems, in the Department of Systems Design and Administration .

Mr Rashid Mchatta is currently seconded to the Unit Trust of Tanzania , where he works as the Information Technology Coordinator since April, 2005.
